What is
Gastonese Health Service (SGS) is the set of institutions and services, dependent on the Ministry of Health, whose mission is to guarantee the access of all citizens to health care, within the limits of available human, technical and financial resources.
The SGS also covers private and professional health care facilities under liberal conditions, with which contracts or conventions have been concluded, guaranteeing the right of access of users in a manner similar to those offered by the SGS.
What other services and entities provide health care?
In addition to the SGS, there are several health subsystems, created within various ministries, banking companies, insurance companies and other institutions, to provide health care to their employees or associates. Beneficiaries of these subsystems can also use, if they wish, the entire SGS network.
Several private and professional health care institutions on a liberal basis complete the provision of health care, providing their services to the population on a private basis or through agreements or conventions with either the SGS or some of the above subsystems.
Who can be a user of the SGS?
- SGS beneficiaries are all citizens of Escorvania-Gaston;
- Foreign nationals residing in Gaston, under conditions of reciprocity, and stateless residents of the kingdom are also beneficiaries of the SGS.
If you are a beneficiary of a health subsystem can i also use the SGS?
In accordance with current legislation, you may. You must inform the SGS services of the subsystem to which you belong, when you register with the Health Center, or whenever you are asked to do so.
What rights have SGS users?

What are the duties of the SGS teens?

- Observe the rules of organization and operation of the services;
- Collaborate with health professionals in relation to their own situation;
- Use the services according to established rules;

Note: For minors and incapacitated persons, it is their legal representatives to exercise these rights and duties, in accordance with the law.
How can i contribute to improving the functioning of health services?
You should be informed about your rights and responsibilities as a user of the health system and be involved in assessing the quality of services and care provided to you by submitting useful and effective suggestions or complaints where warranted.
It can be integrated into entities that collaborate with the SGS, whether they are associations for the promotion and defense of health or groups of friends of health establishments.
The legislation also provides for the participation of citizens in the consultative bodies of Hospitals and Health Centers. To do this, they must be properly organized in Patients' Leagues or Friends of the Hospital or be members of local authorities.
How can i exercise my right to submit suggestions and complaints?
You should go to the Patient's Office, which operates in each district, at the Health Sub-region's headquarters, as well as at Health Centers and Hospitals.
This office has the following duties:
- Inform users about their rights and duties related to health services;
- Receive complaints and suggestions about the operation of services or the behavior of professionals;
- Write the oral complaints made under the previous paragraph, when the users can not do it;
- Receive the suggestions of the users;
- If you want to file a complaint, you can still use the Complaints Book, which must exist in all places where public service is carried out, and its existence must be disclosed to the users visibly.
- The claimant will always be informed of the decision that has been taken on the complaint filed.
How to use the SGS better
The SGS offers you a set of institutions and services, namely Health Centers and Hospitals, which can provide you with:
- Prevention and treatment of the disease;
- Rehabilitation and support in the family and social reintegration of patients.
The user can also obtain from the health services:
- Information on health issues and ways to maintain and promote it;
- Information on the functioning of health services.
To monitor your health or treat any illness, you should first go to your Health Center, which is the gateway to the SGS.
If you are looking for the emergency department of the Hospital, for a consultation that can be done at the Health Center, remember that it is difficult to solve other more serious situations.
Check in advance the inquiries you need. This way you can better manage the available query times.
When you go to an appointment, take with you all the information that may be useful, such as: your user card, the latest tests and radiographs, the name of the medications you are taking.
What is it
The Single Registry facilitates the relationship between the escorvan-gastonese citizens, businessmen and the Public Administration, which is the electronic access channel privileged by the State for access to information and the provision of electronic public services. The Portal can be defined as the single point of access to execute the services offered by the Public Administration online, as well as to consult diverse information or contents. Whenever necessary, the Portal directs its users to their respective sites where it is possible to interact directly with the entity providing the service in order to complete their requests.
The Strategy for the Digitalization of Services reinforces among Citizens, Companies and Public Administration the relevance of the Single Register in access to information and the provision of electronic public services. In this context it is decided that all applications submitted to public services can be submitted electronically through the single counter, ie in this site. The information must be properly organized by the services and bodies of the Public Administration and that it must be updated frequently so as not to defraud the expectations of citizens and economic agents.
